Solar energetic electron (SEE) events, the electron part of solar energetic particle events, are likely the most common particle acceleration phenomenon occurring at the Sun. Thus, SEEs carry the crucial information on the particle acceleration at the Sun and particle transport in the interplanetary medium. I will present a review of recent studies on SEE events, including research progresses on the electron injection timing, source, energy spectrum, and interplanetary propagation.
